Independent investment advisory services
We pride ourselves in providing bespoke wealth management services to select high net worth individuals, families, public benefit organisations and trusts.
Our small and dedicated team of experienced investment professionals focus exclusively on investment management.
Our core service is to provide objective, independent investment advice to guide a wealth creation and preservation strategy over the long term. Our service is comprehensive and encapsulates the many aspects associated with managing clients’ assets.
Developing bespoke investment strategies based on clients' specific circumstances, requirements and objectives.
Translating personalised strategies into uniquely crafted portfolios that are cost and tax efficient while applying sound investment principles to the selection and blending process.
Applying our own proprietary filters and due diligence across the global investment opportunity set to select investments that form the building blocks of client portfolios.
Ongoing monitoring and review of investment portfolios in the context of changing market conditions.
Providing comprehensive portfolio reports, tailored to each client's specific requirements and frequency.
Facilitating all administration associated with investment implementation, management and related affairs.
In most cases we manage our clients’ portfolios holistically. Where clients choose to use our services for a portion of their assets, we consider the overall portfolio exposure to determine a complementary investment strategy.
We are comfortable to utilise clients’ existing asset managers and product providers (e.g. brokerages and platforms), provided we are able to implement our best view. We are not prescriptive in this regard.
In designing each client’s portfolio, our independence gives us the flexibility to carefully select who we believe to be the best managers globally and in whom we have utmost conviction. This objectivity enables us to diversify clients’ portfolios across a blend of manager styles and mandates.
We only invest in strategies that we believe to be intrinsically sound, where the benefits outweigh the costs and where managers stand up to our scrutiny. We only allocate capital to portfolios that offer the levels of transparency that we demand.
By charging professional service fees, we avoid convoluted commission structures and conflicts of interest. We carefully evaluate and consider all costs in our portfolio construction and are constantly mindful of the impact these have on client returns. We negotiate fees where possible on clients’ behalf. Our commitment to transparency with clients creates the trust that forms the foundation of our offering.
We seek to help clients manage their emotional response to short-term sentiment and volatility and to avoid the temptation to try to time markets. Sifting through the market “noise” is key to a successful long-term strategy.
All our efforts are directed towards achieving the preservation and growth of clients’ wealth and realising their specific goals. The dedication and experience of our team enable us to deliver this personal investment approach.
We place forward thinking at the centre of our view.
We develop portfolios by applying an active management philosophy which we believe serves to enhance returns and reduce risk, after costs. Our objective is to achieve real returns (above inflation) for our clients, without taking on excessive risk, over the long-term.
We select managers whose process we believe to be repeatable and who have proven to add value, after costs, through various market cycles.
We encourage holding positions for the long term and embracing market volatility as this creates the opportunity for active managers to efficiently employ their skill-set.
We do not invest in exotic investments or structured products. We value liquidity, demand transparency and only allocate client capital to investments where the business principals personally have exposure.
Each client’s strategy is tailored to take into account their personal circumstances, long term objectives and propensity for risk.
